"A true education aims at the formation of the human person in the pursuit of his ultimate end and of the good of the societies of which, as man, he is a member, and in whose obligations, as an adult, he will share."
~ Pope Paul VI
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School opened on August 16, 2000 with 146 students enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten 3 through 4th Grade. Initially housed in portable buildings, the school held a groundbreaking ceremony for a permanent school building on November 5, 2000.
In April 2002, students moved from the portable buildings into a 2-story building containing 26 classrooms, an art room, music room, library, and a state-of-the-art science lab.
A new junior high and early childhood wing opened in January 2005 and the school’s administrative offices were completed in April 2005. During this time, the Learning Lab classrooms and office were established.
In 2006, the Outdoor Sports Complex opened, complete with a baseball/softball field, soccer field, sand volleyball court, and walking/running track. In 2011, the Outdoor Learning Center was started which today is one of the school’s primary areas where students can explore and discover the wonders and beauty of God’s creation in nature.
The school has held an annual gala event since 2003, with proceeds used to purchase curriculum resources and technology as well as increase the opportunities for teachers to attend professional development workshops. In 2015, the school and parish opened the Parish Activity Center, complete with a gymnasium, indoor walking/running track, industrial kitchen, stage, and locker rooms. The school utilizes the facility during the school day for gym class, assemblies, and lunch service. School sports teams, such as volleyball and basketball, also use the facility for practice and conference games.
The school has been blessed with strong parish support over the years. This support has allowed the school to employ a dedicated faculty and staff who are committed to educating and forming children so that they are prepared and disposed to respond to God’s call.
